SHILLONG, SEPT 20: Dispelling apprehension of the students that they will not get scholarship if they do not have Aadhaar card , Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesdsay said students who do not have Aadhaar card will not have any problem in availing the scholarships and other benefits.
“Those students who do not have Aadhaar will not have any problem, but we are promoting Aadhaar which is a simple process free of cost and it will benefit them,” Javadekar told reporters after a meeting of Directors of IIMs in Shillong on Tuesday.
Stating that the centre is promoting it (Aadhaar), he said that it is a good thing and it is a unique identity card not citizenship thing.-By Our Reporter
