If you do not know, I will tell you where it has gone, you only have to look at the house of any Congress leader, you will find five years ago, it used to be an ordinary small house but today they have huge houses, mansions, they have vehicles, this is where the money has been going and it is by the Mukul Sangma’s most corrupt government.”

He also accused the chief minister of not delivering development to the people and said 70%of education budget of Rs 900 crore has not been spent, shortage of over 66% of science and math teachers in schools and no 24/7 electricity besides there are shortages of 78 % of doctors in health centres.

“On account of these scams and mismanagement, mining has been halted, tourism has not taking off, jobs are not getting creates, small industries are not there and unfortunately, the number people including boys and girls, who committed suicide has gone up by 45%,” he said while alleging that crimes against women has also increased by 30%.

Reminding that February 27, which is the polling day, is an extremely important day for the people who wanted to see change in the state, he said, “I request you that Meghalaya needs to have a BJP government and I assure you in 5 years we will make Meghalaya a model state.”

Meanwhile, the BJP chief also claimed that the acceptance of the BJP in the North East region is increasing day by day because the Prime Minister has been working day and night and there have been 150 visits by ministers for more developmental works in the region.
