Two convicted for theft

SHILLONG, OCT 8: Pappu Swer and Vicky Dey have been convicted to theft and sentenced to simple imprisonment of 5 months 25 days and simple imprisonment of 6 months 11 days respectively.

The court of Judicial Magistrate first class convicted the two as both were charge- sheeted in connection with Sadar police station case no . 299(9)14 U/S 379/34 IPC for their involvement in a theft case from a construction site at 4th Furlong near Garo Union Higher Secondary School.

Both were found guilty in the trial and accordingly convicted. Sub Inspector FM Sangma of the Sardar police station was the investigating officer of the case.- By Our Reporter
