SHILLONG, JAN 8: An Umroi airport security guard was brutally murdered by his colleague on Wednesday when he was on duty. The guard has been identified as S Raj and worked at Umroi Airpot sponsored by the CISF.
Ri-Bhoi police said that the incident occurred last evening at around 7 pm at Umroi Airport when his colleague attacked him with a sharp weapon when he was on duty at airport.
“The police came to know about the incident only after the higher authority of Airport Umroi filed a complaint at Khapmara police outpost” police source informed.
Police said they immediately rushed to the spot for the inquiry, but on reaching the spot found the security guard dead.
The police immediately arrested PK Singh Kumar who also works as security guard. Investigation is on to find the motive of the killing.- By Our Reporter
