MSCW shocked over attack

SHILLONG, JUNE 16: The Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW) today expressed shock and disturb over the recent attack on an elderly woman at Smit village.

 

 

 

In a statement issued here, Commission chairperson Theilin Phanbuh urged the concern authority to arrest the culprit who has committed such serious and heinous crime to an innocent village woman.

 

 

 

The Commission also requested all the local Dorbar to be vigilant and to alert all its local residents to prevent such incident in future.

 

 

 

It may be mentioned here, a woman was injured when she was attacked by a miscreant who came to her house in disguised of being a vendor and robbed gold ornaments after cutting her ears and fingers.

 

 

 

The lady identified as Ialinda Warshong has been admitted in a city hospital and is still undergoing medical treatment.
