SHILLONG, OCT 24: Â Meghalaya Urban affairs minister Ampareen Lyngdoh was felicitated by the Rangbah Shnong (Head man) of Laitumkhrah Dorbar Shnong Pyllun for receiving her doctorate degree during the recent NEHU convocation.
The Laitumkhrah dorbar also felicitated meritorious students at the Kiew Shaphrang award 2013 organized at Don Bosco youth centre.
Lyngdoh while thanking the dorbar for felicitating her also expressed her appreciation in awarding the meritorious students every year. She also recalled her school days when her parents never allowed her to go for tuition as they believed that she had been put in a good educational institution and should therefore toil hard to get good grades.
Lyngdoh also urged the students to concentrates in their studies and make their parents proud by achieving something in life. She said that the parents should do all it takes in encourages their children in their studies.:- By Our Reporter
