SHILLONG, NOV 7: The ANVC (B) has kicked up a hornet nest by alleging that the GNLA has an informer in the police department who informed about the movement of police escort that led to the killing of five policemen on Tuesday. In a statement issue on Thursday the ANVC (B) said that the attackers were aware of the movement of the police team , which was not the SOT or SWAT, to Tura that led to the attack with confidence.
The ANVC (B) also claimed that the information gave enough time for the attackers to prepare as was evident from the attack as those who ambushed the police team knew of the time when police team will be crossing that area. The statement said, “These attack gives a glimpse of accessibility of GNLA into police activities, which is not going to be safe in the long run.”- By Our Reporter
