TURA,NOV 5: A dacoit was killed by angry mob at Sibbari village in South Garo hills on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Jeet M. Sangma and apprehended by villagers and beaten to death.
“He was caught when he was trying to extort money from one Dilip Sangma, Lesbarth Momin and from a local church body”, said Lakador Syiem, South Garo hills SP. A Chinese made carbine, 2 magazines and a 7 mm live round were recovered from the person.-From Our Correspondent
