House gutted in massive fire in Shillong

A house was completely gutted after a major fire broke out at Mawprem on Monday morning.

The incident took place at around 5.30 am.

The house was used as a carpentry shop. The second floor was a storeroom for keeping wood material.

Although the cause of the fire was suspected to be due to a short circuit, police are on the job to verify the cause.

Police said there was no casualty reported during the incident.
