KHADC close shops in Bhoi

SHILLONG, DEC 3: The KHADC on closed 19 unlicensed shops of non tribal on  Tuesday and Wednesday during a surprise checking from Byrnihat up to Khanapara in Ri-Bhoi district. The KHADC enforcement inspector of Ri-Bhoi district H Syiemlieh conducted the checking of non tribal shops for allegedly running their business without any license from KHADC.

The shops were sealed after it was found that the shops did not obtain trading licenses for several years.  “We will not spare anyone running his business without obtaining trading license from KHADC” Syiemlieh said.

Syiemlieh informed that that the KHADC had served a show cause notice to these shops for operating without license from the KHADC.- By Our Reporter
