SHILLONG, JAN 24: Cash worth over Rs 10.03 lakh have been seized by the flying squads in South West Garo Hills District on Tuesday.
Chief electoral officer (CEO) FR Kharkongor said the people from whom seizures were made didn’t have any supporting documents with them.
“Their claims are under investigation,” he said.
According to him, there is prohibition of carrying more than Rs 50,000 in cash as the current period is under model code of conduct.
