Panto Carator wins Meghalaya Talent Hunt

Image (13)SHILLONG, SEPT 25: Panto Carator Band won the Meghalaya Talent Hunt Show 2017 organized by the Assam Rifles at the Indoor Sports Complex HQ DGAR, Laitkor, Shillong on Sunday.

The power-packed electrifying performance in the evening in front of a houseful auditorium saw Band Thrive Voyage securing the second runners up position while Band Soul Groove was honored the first runners up position.

Altogether 16 bands from across the state participated at the grand finale. The top five bands that were selected for the final were Freddy Kharmutee, Duck Tape, Soul Groove, Thrive Voyage and Panto Carator.

Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, DGAR in presence of AOC-In- C EAC and GOC 101 Area and other dignitaries handed over the prize money to the winning teams.

The event was judged by independent jury members comprising of Suchetra Bhattacharjee, Sumit Roy, Tito, Booma Boomie Hangsing, Harmeet and Sayed Rahi Umair.

Assam Rifles appreciates and accolades each participating individuals, schools and bands in the 3-day event that was aimed to build and strengthen the relationship between the citizens of Meghalaya and Assam Rifles through the eternal bond of Music.

Earlier, the first day of the event was dedicated to the schoolchildren, where participants from various Schools all over Meghalaya including the Students of Assam Rifles Public School show cased their Musical talent.

The second day of the Talent Hunt Contest saw a bouquet of colorful presentation of music, song and dance in solo and group category.

Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, DGAR awarded the prize money to all the winners in these categories.
