SHILLONG, SEPT 17: State CID on Wednesday arrested an Education inspector after he was caught red handed taking bribe from a schoolteacher at his office in West Khasi hills district.
The Sub Divisional School Education Inspector Lufter Rahman was arrested by the CID from his office at Mairang, Special Superintendent of Police (CID) CA Lyngwa informed on Wednesday..
Lynwa said the special team of the CID laid a trap after it was tipped off of the impending bribe and caught Rahman red handed taking cash of Rs 30, 000 that he had demanded from the school teacher as a bribe.
Lyngwa informed that the CID sleuths arrested the education inspector from his office chamber at Mairang,
The teacher DM Lyngdoh Mawnai from whom the bribe was demanded  lodged a complaint with the police . The bribe was demanded for a transfer order that the former had applied earlier this year.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused officer was a repeated offender who demanded money for issuing administrative orders for the teachers.-By Our Reporter
What about the ministers who took bribe for the education scam??? why is the law not equal…? Not that I support this Officer but why are the CID not pursuing the Mawpalai case, the ICDS case, where bigger scamsters are never touched? what about their own Chacko who is alleged to have supplied arms to militants? and what has happened to the case against the Police constable who hid evidence and took the phone of Fullmoon Dhar after he was arrested with the other UTP’s?? and what about the many Fake encounters brushed under the carpet? are they not crimes?
