SHILLONG, JUNE 29: Two members of the United A`chik Liberation Army (UALA) militant outfit were arrested on Saturday evening by the police after the latter conducted a search operation Rimrangpara village, under the Dalu police station in West Garo Hills district.
The two militants have been identified as Jintu Momin and Nirmal Marak. Police got a 7.62 pistol and bullets from them which had not been used.
The two were immediately taken to the police station for questioning. It is learnt that the police arrested the two when they were going for extortion from some rich residents of Dalu. – By Our Reporter
