SHILLONG, DEC 10:  Two GNLA militants were killed while two others were seriously injured when a joint operation of the South Garo Hills (SGH) and the East Garo Hills (EGH) police at the outfit’s camp in the Durama hills on Tuesday. Police also recovered huge cache of arms from the site.
SWAT teams of both the districts led the operation and raided the hideout of the banned GNLA. It is learnt around thirty GNLA cadres had gathered in Adugre located in the deep jungle of Durama hills in East Garo hills district.
Reports said that gun battle between the SWAT and the GNLA cadres took place in which two GNLA militants were killed on the spot and another two were seriously injured. However the rest of the militants managed to escape taking advantage of the thick forest cover. – By Our Reporter
