SHILLONG, JAN 20: The BJP released its second list consisting of four names who will all be contesting from Garo hills in the Meghalaya assembly elections slated for February 23.
The names were finalized on the recommendation of the Meghalaya State Election Committee.
The names released on Sunday are of Pillar G Momin from Ramsagre, Elstone Marak from Kharkutta, Anil Kumar Hajong from Rangsakona and David Ch Marak from South Tura.
The first list released on Saturday also had the name of Veecarenicia Lamare – a lady candidate from Nartiang constituency in Jaintia hills to contest against sitting Congress legislator Sngiawbhalang Dhar
In Khasi hills, the BJP will be fielding Andy Lyngwa from Pynthorumkhrah, Romeo Phira Rani from East Shillong, Augustine Lakiang from South Shillong, Ehkupar Nongrum from Nongthymmai and Fairly Bert Kharrngi from Nongkrem constituency.
While the other three names that was released on Saturday also included of Philip Sangma from Rajabala, Bhupendra B Hajong from Salmanpara and Sisir Marak from Dalu constituency in Garo hills have been finalized by the party.- By Our Reporter
