KSU volunteers arrested

SHILLONG, SEPT 18: The East Khasi hills police arrested four KSU volunteers on Wednesday for their involvement in pelting stones and also burning a truck at Laitkor during the agitations sponsored by the ngos who are demanding implementation of ILP in the state.

East Khasi hills SP M Kharkhrang informed that the arrested KSU volunteers are David Nongkhlaw (18), Lamborlang Lyngdoh (21), Baiaineh Wankhar (18) and Kironstar Mawrie (30), all hailing from different parts of Laitkor.

Kharkrang informed that all the four are school dropouts and now working as labourers. Miscreants had burnt down two trucks during the agitation at Laitkor and the four of them have been arrested for  their involvement in burning one of the trucks.

Kharkrang pointed out that the four persons were arrested by the police based on specific evidence. -By Our Reporter
